Dear Civil Air Patrol Cadet Programs Officer,
A mobile application has been created to help your cadets with what matters most to many of them - earn their next promotion! This application, engineered by Nevada Wing CAP members for your iPhone or iPad, automatically connects to the internet to determine what requirements remain for your cadetâs current achievement. It is designed to show you these requirements at a quick glance in a readable format. You may look back and see what theyâve already accomplished, and even look all the way forward to learn everything they will need to earn the coveted Spaatz award. Weâve designed this app primarily for cadets, but for those without internet access or a mobile device, senior members can use this tool to show them what they need.
In order to use this app, you must be assigned a cadet programs duty position in your unit. In general, commanders, deputy commanders and testing officers will find it useful. If you have access to cadet promotions data in eServices, you will have the same access in this app.
You may download the app from the Apple App Store. There is absolutely no charge to use this service and there never will be. You just need an iPhone or iPad capable of running iOS 16 or higher. We are currently working on making the application available for other platforms.
The only other requirement is that you must have an active email account that matches your contact information in eServices. When you first open the app, youâll be asked to log in one time with your CAP email address, month/year of birth and CAPID. You will then receive an e-mail to the address you entered. Follow the instructions in that e-mail. Upon logging in, you will see your name and grade in the appâs title bar. To see promotion data for your cadets, simply tap the plus icon next to your name and select a cadet from the list that pops up. Click on the subjects for your cadetâs achievement to see further details, or click on the achievement name itself to see other achievements, past or future. The database is updated nightly, so anything they accomplish will be reflected in the app the next day.
